First couple days in Vienna

It has been an exciting couple of days here in Europe. I left London's Heathrow Saturday evening and arrived in Rome about 20 minutes after public tranportation shut down. Trying my best to get downtown I found a taxi, only to discover that it would be 80 Euro to get into Rome... the next 10 hours were spent at the airport watching TV, doing paperwork, and sleeping on the floor.

Finally landed in Vienna at about noon on the Sunday. Unfortunately my bags did not arrive with me in Vienna. I am still bag less, which is not good because all of my clothes, camera chargers, medicine, tent, stove, my life, is in that bag. The one plus side is because I am not an Austrian National I get a shopping trip paid for by Austrian Airlines. So far all I have bought is one pair of pants, two shirts, and then some essentials like boxers, tooth brush, ect. Hopefully my bag will apear in the next day or so. It has been an adventure to say the least.

Conny (the friend I am staying with) has been amazing. Thank you Conny!!!! So far we have been site seeing to some of the spots in Vienna, we are planning on going skiing in a couple days, also we will be going to Bratislava one of these days. Things over here are much cheaper then in London. We have been frequenting a "little" Irish Pub here. The Austirans are great, and a the beer is cold.

I have to run now, we are going to Conny's parents tonight for dinner and we need to get some wine, until Next time
